Fall in Love With Fall Cruise Deals on Cruise Critic

PENNINGTON, N.J. -- Cruise Critic
(http://www.cruisecritic.com), the world's leading resource for cruise
reviews and news, is the best place to find cruise deals any time of year
-- but fall offers additional incentives and voyages worth considering.
Cruise Critic reveals five ways to save on a cruise vacation this fall.
-- Look beyond the Caribbean. Caribbean cruises are usually cheaper in the
fall because it's the height of hurricane season. This year, we're also
seeing savings in tropical locales like Bermuda, the Bahamas and the
Mexican Riviera -- where a four-night itinerary on Royal Caribbean's
Monarch of the Seas begins at $169.

-- Repositioning Cruises. Ships moving from Alaska or Europe to the
Caribbean in the fall offer phenomenal value and unusual itineraries,
if you don't mind a few sea days. A 15-night fall repositioning on
Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Jewel (Europe to Caribbean) starts at
$699.

-- Go long. Longer cruises often offer value -- especially this fall. In
November or December you can sail on Royal Caribbean's Empress of the
Seas for 11 nights from just $599; the itinerary is "exotic" Southern
Caribbean.

-- Be open to last-minute sailings. Can you sail next week? If you can
pack at the drop of a hat, you can spend a week in Bermuda aboard
Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Majesty from $299.

-- Leap to luxury cruising. The real deal this fall is not shock-value
pricing but value for money. With autumn discounts, there's no better
time to try a luxury cruise. Crystal Cruises has a 10-night Caribbean
cruise from $3,145; we've seen the same sailing listed for $6,490 this
summer.
